It's no secret that online marketing has evolved rapidly over the years. While showcasing personal income might have been a common practice in the past, we believe it's time to embrace a new approach. 

Here's why:
  • Sustainability: Flashy income claims may attract attention momentarily, but they rarely lead to long-term success. We want your online business to thrive for years to come, not just for a fleeting moment.

Everyone is not inspired by your earnings and if the wrong person sees it they could become motivated to take action towards trying to take it away from you via lawsuit, cyber attack, or worst of all a home invasion or robbery.
  • ​Believability: It’s hard enough for average people to believe it’s even possible to earn income online, let alone thousands, hundreds of thousands, or millions! The LARGE majority of people don’t believe your results otherwise they’d follow your suggestions and advice! We also have to spend time answering endless unproductive questions like “is that actually real?!”. Instead, be more relatable and use more mystery in your marketing. Humble, indirect “brags” are much more attentive than outright throwing your results in someone’s face. Again, MOST people don’t believe your claims anyway or they’d buy when you tell them to and follow your exact advice. Talk about things they can relate to and results that are believable. PLUS give full context about what it’s going to take to succeed and see your audience become more inspired and their trust in you grow!

What Happens If I'm Non-Compliant

We want to ensure there is full transparency in regards to how we as a company will handle non-compliance.

1. Communication will be sent to the affiliate from Compliance@legendarymarketer.com regarding what we documented as non-compliant. You will be provided specific instructions in that email to follow along with the expectation to respond to that email within the given time frame stated in the email. 
2. If a second compliance situation occurs, communication will be sent to the affiliate from Compliance@Legendarymarketer.com that a suspension has been placed on their affiliate account for 3-7 days. In that time, the affiliate should use it to perform a full clean up of any non-compliant issues and follow the instructions provided in the email.
3. If non-compliance continues after the suspension, we will deactivate your account and notify you. 
If you are found speaking negatively about Legendary Marketer, or performing Lead Generation of our customers via cold outreach through DMs to purchase a different product, we will immediately deactivate your account.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I share that I'm a $-Figure Digital Marketer or Business owner? 
Yes, this is a general description of your business results but you must include the disclaimer in the caption, in the email, on your funnel or wherever you mention that phrase. 
Here is an example of the income disclaimer you should have: 
*Results are not guaranteed and most people who buy any “how to” information get little to no results. You could get more, less, or no results at all. Examples given are my results. All business entails risk, hard work, dedication and consistency. If you’re not willing to accept that PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE ANY PRODUCTS FROM US.

Examples of compliant: 
I am a X-Figure Business owner 
I run a X-figure Marketing Business  

Examples of non-compliant: 
I made x-figures yesterday, today, last week, last month. 
I made x-figures in 6 months (insert any specific time period) 
I made x-figures while at the gym today
I've gone from 0  to x-figures in 6 months (insert any specific time period)

When do I use an Affiliate Disclaimer & when do I use an Income Disclaimer?  
Anytime an affiliate link is present or the prospect is being directed to an affiliate link, an affiliate disclaimer must be present. This includes content, funnels, emails. 
If the content is not specifically discussing an affiliate product, but is for business purposes then an income disclaimer should be used.
The AFFILIATE disclaimer discloses that you have a business relationship and get compensated if they click and buy.
The INCOME disclaimer says no results are guaranteed and what the average user is experiences as far as typical results with the product.
Why do I need an income disclaimer if I can't share income? 
You're posting content with the intent, to profit. You need to be transparent with the consumer that you are running a business and that you do not guarantee results and you do make a commission off links clicked.  
Can I show income from OTHER online ventures I'm involved in? 
No, not when also actively promoting Legendary products. And video, story, post, or email that makes an “implied claim” (a claim that is insinuated without coming right out and saying it or showing income) should include the proper disclaimers. Be safe, not sorry.
Can my social media bios share my income? 
No, those are also income claims. The bio descriptions of $0-$50k in 6 months (as an example) should not be used. Putting in your personal income anywhere into your content strategy is not an acceptable practice. The statement $0 to X-Fugures in 6 months(as an example) would also be considered non-compliant.
Can I share moments of transformation in my own life? 
Yes, there are many creative, fun, engaging ways to share your business and triumphs of your personal life without the topic being what the dollar amount you made was. 
What about previous content before this update when live? Do I need to delete? 
Although we think you should consider reviewing past content, for your own protection, our current policies will apply to all content posted on or after January 25th, 2024.
